About Mary
Her journey from practising lawyer (B.A., LLB Dalhousie University) to commercial photographer was her first major turning point. Her creativity was unleashed and her focus became more artistic, becoming a respected fine art photographer. As photography has changed in recent years so has her focus, turning to her passion for the very land on which she lives, We Are One Farm, which she and her husband have made their sanctuary to share with others. It is filled with rows of lavender, herbs, flowers and vegetables, all of which reflect a love and respect for the land, plants and animals sharing their space.
Beneath this nurturing impulse is a life-long fascination with human nature, questioning why we are the way we are, what makes us happy (or not), what gives us meaning. Mary is inspired by mind-body healing, the connections between mind, emotions, energy and how they affect our wellness and life paths. After experiencing her personal sense of connection to Source energy and to one another, particularly through the use of the shamanic journey process, Mary made the decision to offer assistance to others searching for a sense of peace, connection and inner knowing.
Resonating with the works of internationally-published author, teacher and healer, Denise Linn, Mary received certification in Soul Coaching® and Past Life Coaching, trained personally by Denise on her ranch in central California in 2008. This was followed by advanced training in Usui Reiki by master teacher Edward Howell, and certification as a Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) from Life Potential Developments in Halifax. Mary's intuitive skills have been honed in part by studies in Psychic Development through Angel Hall Spiritual Fellowship, further enhancing her awareness.Teaching skills have been enhanced by the training of Eliza Schurman & Muriel Agnes in "Leadership in the Transformational Learning Process".
Soon she will be adding a web page to describe her work in another Denise Linn-created course of study, Interior Alignment® Instinctive Feng Shui™ and Seven Star Blessing™ Space Clearing. Mary was certified by Master Educator LuAnn Cibik in November 2010. This work can support Soul Coaching® very well in helping one create their "outer space", their home & work environment, to support and reflect the changes they make in their inner space... creating a "home for the soul" and a life in balance.
In moving from childhood to adulthood there is a tendency to bring along our family's and our culture's set of expectations and beliefs, all reinforced by schooling and socialization. So, we may have no idea what is "out there", until becoming exposed to new ideas we gain more knowledge, more experience, and greater wisdom.
Along the way, there is that little voice inside that knows and keeps nudging us, prompting us to keep searching until we find something that resonates on a soul level with our own unique talents and longings. Although our lives may not take us in an obviously straight line, when we remain open to the whispers along the way, tuning into our Higher Self, a wonder-filled life unfolds! Mary's personal sense of mission is to help others hear those whispers, recognize those nudges, and trust that Higher Guidance, which is found by going within.
